DESCRIPTION
Our visit will begin with an explanation about the most important monument, the Alcazaba de Almería, where our guide will tell you the history and make an introduction about the city. Then we will walk through the streets of the historic center of the city to reach the Church of San Juan, the old Arab mezquital.
After this tour we will make the first stop in a typical bar in the area where we will take a tapa and our guide will explain you the culture and gastronomy throughout the tour.
Once we have filled the stomach a little we will continue our journey to the Plaza de la Catedral where we can admire its beauty and know the history of the most important Cathedral of the city, as well as the Plaza de la Constitución where you will know one of the placesthe town hall. In this area we will make the second stop in another typical bar where you can taste another tapa and take strength to follow the visit.
We will pass through the Arab Cisterns and continue our journey towards the nerve center of the city, Purchena Gate, the area up to where the great Arab wall that surrounded the city of Al-Mariyat reached. and we will also pass through the Spanish Civil War Shelters. Nearby we will taste a liquor well known and acclaimed by the Almerians, the "American" in the "kiosk Amalia", the best known and typical of Almeria.
To finish the route we will reach the central market, which belongs to the contemporary age and we will make the last stop in another bar to taste the last tapa and stay with the best taste of mouth of the city that has been named Gastronomic Capital of Spain in 2019.
